Is It Really Necessary to Have an Autoresponder in Lead Marketing 1

Generating leads is a crucial aspect when involved in an online business. However, The more crucial part is what do you and how you manage those leads once they have accumulated on your email list. Question: What is the next step? Answer: Set up an auto-responder. (Find out why)

Being in a business, you are surely aware of the importance of lead marketing. You know all too well that in order to stay afloat on the net, you need as much leads as you can generate. However, once those leads have been generated, what should you do next? What are you going to do with those leads?

As you may know, it is not enough for a farmer to plant seedlings. If he wants to harvest good crops, he needs to water them, fertilize them, and make sure they get sunlight and air. In your case, the fertilizer is follow-up. You have to always follow up whenever a new lead comes up. Doing so would help greatly in converting your lead into a customer. Your new lead must see that you are a real person and that you can be trusted. Seeming aloof or staying anonymous is a big no-no! Do not give your lead reason to label you as a stranger. In other words, follow up with your new lead immediately.

Following up can best be done using an auto-responder. An auto-responder is a computerized program that allows you to easily monitor your new contacts, keep track of existing ones, and follow up with both on a regular basis. This is particularly essential during the beginning of your ‘relationship’ with your leads. You heard that right. You are basically gaining their trust, building it, and eventually deserving their faith.

With an auto-responder, you get to send a welcome or thank you message right away to everyone included in your mailing list. You can have it set in such a way that it will send as much emails as necessary at your preferred intervals. The great thing about it is that you can customize it to cater to your specific needs.

You can walk your prospects through your system with your follow-up emails and offer them promos and items. You have perhaps offered freebies to your leads during the start, meaning, you can offer that items that are cost-effective and at the same time, get to build their trust even more. As the process ends, offer your leads your primary product or service and expectantly, they will purchase it.

Apart from this very important process though, an auto-responder is capable of doing a lot more things such as organizing your mailing list and keeping yourself informed regarding where each member is exactly when you are receiving a lot of inquiries. Whenever you have announcements to make such as an upcoming new product, or a special event related to your business, you can easily send emails about it to your contacts. You can also broadcast about new promos that may entice your leads to buy.

Another great thing about an auto-responder is that it guards against spam by embedding in every email they send a link to ‘unsubscribe’. The recipients of your emails can choose not to unsubscribe, then your emails would not be directed to their spam folder.

Note as well that once your mailing list becomes more populated, it will be a lot more difficult for you to send emails to your subscribers manually. The time that could have spent on other aspects of your business would be wasted on manually sending promotional and follow-up messages to them. In the end, you would find business no longer surviving because one whole day would not even be enough for the ‘send emails’ part, not to mention that part where you have to respond to inquiries and suggestions. This is where the extreme efficiency and automation of auto-responders come in handy.

Bottomline, the vital element to remember here is that following up with your leads is a must and you can do this best by using an auto-responder
